Scholarship Details

  • Vacaville Rotary Club President's Scholarship, $3,000.00
    There will be two recipients of this Scholarship. One from Vacaville High School and one from Will C. Wood High School.
  • Vacaville Rotary Club Frank Douglas Memorial Scholarship, $1,500.00
    There will be two recipients of this Scholarship. One from Vacaville High School and one from Will C. Wood High School.
  • Vacaville Rotary Club William J. Carroll Memorial Scholarship, $1,000.00
    There will be two recipients of this Scholarship. One from Vacaville High School and one from Will C. Wood High School.
  • Vacaville Rotary Club John Rico Memorial Scholarship, $1500.00
    There will be two recipients of this Scholarship. One from Vacaville High School and one from Will C. Wood High School. This scholarship is restricted to students who have worked on the school newspaper's staff for a minimum of two years or are going to be studying either journalism or photojournalism in college.
  • Vacaville Rotary Club Outstanding Interact Student Scholarship, $1500.00
    This will be awarded to an Interact Club student from Vacaville High School.
  • Vacaville Rotary Club Outstanding Student Scholarship, $1,000.00 & $500.00
    One in the amount of $1,000.00, and one in the amount of $500.00. These will be awarded to graduating seniors from Buckingham Charter School.
  • Vacaville Rotary Club Vinson Memorial Scholarships, $500.00
    This scholarship will be awarded to one graduating seniors from Country High School.
  • Boys and Girls Club Scholarships
    This scholarship will be awarded to one graduating senior.
  • Conner Family Ace Scholarship
    This scholarship will be awarded to one graduating senior.

Ambassadorial Scholarships

In an effort to create an increasing awareness and respect for different cultures, Rotary Club is offering once-in-a lifetime opportunities for scholars who want to study abroad.

The Ambassadorial Scholarship program is the club’s oldest and best known programs. Since 1947, nearly 37,000 men and women have participated. Currently, applications are being accepted for the 2010-2011 school year.

  • Academic year: $23,000 for one year abroad in any field of study
  • Cultural: $10,000 to improve language and awareness of a different culture for three months, $15,000 for six months
  • Multi-year Ambassadorial: $23,000 for two years of study for a degree

The deadline for applying is April 8, 2010 and scholars are encouraged to pursue the comprehensive application process well in advance.
